The founders of Ohmetric are tech junkies. We’re the geeks that buy the new games, play with the new gadgets, read the latest blogs, and incessantly surf the internet for “cool”. But being tech junkies, we discovered that most people believe technology and healthy don’t mix. We disagree.
People can use video games to learn yoga. People can use email to talk to loved ones. People can even use the internet to learn how to eat healthier. In fact, we can be both healthy and digital at the same time. Our designers and engineers are dedicated to creating products that will help us live this healthy digital life.

In order to share a little bit about what this means, we’ve decided to post the manifesto that created the Ohmetric family, we hope you like it.

The Ohmetric manifesto:

We believe in technology.
More importantly, we believe in the promise of technology. Technology can make your life faster, easier to navigate, more productive, and more mobile. Of course, technology can also create problems. It can be mystifying, it can require tech support, it can erase your data, and it can cause carpal tunnel. By thinking through the way people use their technology, we at Ohmetric believe we can erase the negatives and accentuate the positives.

We believe in the freedom to work and play anywhere.
Coffee shops and spreadsheets go well together. There is nothing better than accomplishing your goals in an environment of your own choosing. Portable electronics help us to break out of the cubicle and into the world, without missing a deadline. We at Ohmetric are dedicated to giving you the tools to be productive wherever you are.

We believe in well-designed solutions.
Everyone had heard the old adage “form follows function”, and we at Ohmetric agree. Yet that is not the only rule in designing a great product. Truly understanding the user before designing the solution is critical. Thinking differently about the problem is helpful too. At Ohmetric, we are not satisfied with finding just any solution; we strive to find the solution to any problem our users encounter.

We believe in value.
Cheap is a problem; value is a solution. Cheap is disposable; value is indispensable. At Ohmetric, we strive to make each product a valuable one. Which is why we stand by our products with a warranty you can believe in. Although you may find a low cost product in our line, you’ll never find a cheap one.

We believe in a healthy digital life.
Ohm is relaxing, Ohm is Zen. Metric is science. Ohmetric is the science of a healthy digital life. We believe that technology and health are not opposites; they both can contribute to a happy existence. We are dedicated to thinking about how to reduce the stress on your mind and body through the products we create. Why? Because stressing out about your stuff isn’t the point, enjoying your life is.
